A largely self-taught photographer whose creative practice began in the 1980s, he works across portraiture, street, genre, still life, and landscape photography. His work centers on the people, architecture, and natural landscapes of Azerbaijan, and has been exhibited both nationally and internationally since his first public presentation in 1999.

His extensive archive includes a significant body of work from Azerbaijan’s mountain regions, including Shahdag and Khinalig, reflecting a longstanding interest in the relationship between people and the natural environment.
